The original M16 grip, with its distinctive triangular shape and ribbed texture, was a defining feature of the early iterations of this iconic rifle. While functional in providing a secure hold, its design was often criticized for being less ergonomic compared to later grip styles. The triangular shape, while offering a positive grip, could feel uncomfortable for some users during extended periods of firing.
